Magazine: Lady GaGa on “Cosmopolitan April 2010″

Lady Gaga is covering the April 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine which hits stands on March 9th.

Check out some highlights from her interview with the mag:

On an ex-boyfriend:

I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the fucking deli without hearing or seeing me.

On her career:

I ate shit for so long, being told I didn’t fit the mold and that I was ‘too pop’ or ‘too theater’ … I’ve always been delusionally ambitious to the point where people don’t understand me.

Gaga turned down a cocktail because she had a sold-out show to do just a few hours after the interview. She ordered riceless sushi and dressingless salad and said:

My friends joke that I’m dead until I get onstage. I’m dead right now as you’re speaking to me.

New Single: Gorillaz “Stylo”

Stylo is a song from the Gorillaz’s third album Plastic Beach. It features Bobby Womack and Mos Def. The song was the first single from the album, released digitally on 26 January 2010.
Bobby Womack knew nothing about Gorillaz and was initially unsure about the collaboration, however, his daughter liked the Gorillaz and convinced him to do it. Womack was told to sing whatever was on his mind during the recording of “Stylo”. “I was in there for an hour going crazy about love and politics, getting it off my chest”, said Womack. After an hour of recording, Womack, a diabetic, started to pass out. He was sat down and given a banana, before waking up minutes later.

New Single: Kesha “Blah Blah Blah ft. 3OH!3″

Blah Blah Blah is the second single from Kesha’s debut studio album, Animal. The song features additional vocals by 3OH!3. Co-written by producer Benny Blanco, Neon Hitch, Sean Foreman and Kesha herself, she has stated that the song speaks of men in the same way that they have talked about women in the music industry. It was officially added to U.S. radio on February 2nd, 2010.
